Gratitude

My friend Marti has blogged about gratitude and how important it is. I agree with her. This page is for thanking people and institutions that are influencing me as I blog. There are lots of other people and institutions and I am thankful for for lots of reasons, but this page is specific to my blog.

Marti — for convincing me that blogging is a great idea for teachers and for leading by example

George Couros — whom I have never met, but who has taught me how to set up my blog on WordPress

Sarah — for listening to my rants, inspiring me, and being one of the smartest people I have ever met

Cristina Milos — for creating and sharing beautiful and inspiring images on her Pinterest account.

Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach and Will Richardson — for giving me the tools and connections I need to teach my kids in the 21st century

Paul — for being the first edreformer I met through my blogging — keep up the fight!

Dr. Helen Barrett — whom I have never met, but who has taught me all about digital portfolios

UnCollege, OccupyDC, Dr. Justin Marquis and everyother edreformer who is out there fighting, blogging and inspiring us

What a great start. Can’t wait for your next post!

Interestingly, my first read of the summer is a book about Angelo Patri, an Italian American progressive educator in New York city who knew John Dewey and Maria Montessori. Who knew?
